Not a Davis local? You can still consign your quality outdoor gear with us. We accept mail in consignments, shipping is on us. Send us an email at heynow@easywindgear.com letting us know you're interested in shipping your gear.
Gather clean, functional, seasonally appropriate items. Check our Seasonal Guidelines before shipping.
Send us an email telling us you're interested in consigning at heynow@easywindgear.com. We'll reply with a link to an intake form. Please follow the instructions and be as detailed as possible!
Once we receive your form, we'll send you a shipping label via QR code. Simply bring your packaged gear and the QR code on your phone or device to your local post office.
Our pricing is based on an item’s age, condition, demand, and original MSRP. If you have a price in mind, we’re happy to discuss it and price accordingly. However, most consignors choose to trust us to research and price.
After 180 days, we'll send you an email that your consignment period is up. You can let us donate your items or ask us to ship back. However, you are responsible for the cost of shipping back. Seasonal items may be subject to a sooner pickup date. You can check your consignor portal for pickup dates.
Every 30 days, we'll drop your item's price by 10% for 90 days.
Depending on the final sales price, you'll get your payout according
to the following price breakdown
$0.00 - $49.99 = 40%
$50.00 - $150.00 = 50%
$150.01 - $400.00 = 60%
$400.01 and over = 70%
Easy Wind is a traditional consignment shop where sellers receive in-store credit or cash payout once their items sell.

| $50.00 – $150.00 | 50% |

Use as store credit instead and you’ll receive an additional 10%.
Our goal is to make consigning effortless. After gathering your gear, send us a message at heynow@easywindgear.com that you're interested in mailing your gear. We'll send you our consignment intake form and consigner agreement. Once we've approved the items in your submission, you can package everything up.
Please wash or gently clean items before sending your gear. Gear with blemishes is of course OK to consign as long as it’s clean and fully functional, and let us know any issues upfront so we can note it for buyers and set the price accordingly. This helps us out significantly as well as helps increase the sale price of your item.
You can always email or text us photos of any larger items before shipping and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can accept.
We are looking for high quality outdoor gear and functional, athletic, and casual wear that’s clean and in good working order.
Once you submit the intake form, we’ll review it and accept everything we think is marketable. Our focus is on quality outdoor brands (like Patagonia, Marmot, Black Diamond, etc.) as well as lesser known local or independent manufacturers making quality gear.
Please do not package the items we don't accept.
No, we'll cover the cost of shipping. However, if we decline one or more of your items after inspection, you'll be responsible for any items that you want shipped back (otherwise, we'll donate gear that we can't accept).
We'll inspect your gear before pricing it and putting it on the sales floor. If you’ve shipped items that we can’t accept, we’ll give you the option to either have those items shipped back to you or donated. Please note that you are responsible for any return shipping costs.
Our pricing system is both art and science. We work to determine a market rate for each item based on age and condition, as well as seasonal demand and original retail cost. Our goal is to set price points so items bring you a fair return, yet move relatively quickly. We of course want our consignors to get as much as possible for their gear, but we also need it to sell and give good value to buyers.
If you have a dollar amount in mind that you’d like to get for your item let us know in your email.
Typically, however, consignors trust us to know or research the value of inventory and set the pricing when entering it into the system.
Once your gear sells, we can pay through check or Venmo. Or you can use your earnings as store credit. You can check your consignor portal to see your available funds.
